Maybe I've misunderstood, but I think they mean the oscillator for the MCU, ie. The reason i reasoned like this is becouse i think the supermarkets are just corealation and trolleying is more causation Scratch that, thinking about it makes it not compute. Hope i didn't hit any innocent bystanders by shooting in the dark add more/less power, but the gyro is not good enough when trolleying, hence, oscilator)īut without any weight how could you control the amount of power to be pushed through? in comes the oscilator, make a fixed oscilation, calibrate it to the wheel and have balanced power delivered. (Another idea, when you ride it, it uses the gyro to compensate ie. Since the most important feature of the wheel is when you balance a person on it, the wheel could be configured to take into account added weight onto the wheel, or resistance or wathever. The cost of the homemade tool is close to the cost of an actual probe but you might have some of the supplies on hand already which will bring the cost down. This might be a shot in the dark but what if. If a homemade tool is more your speed then check out this tutorial which will walk you through creating your own Z axis touch setting probe. You can make your own if you wish but for the price it is hard to justify messing with a homemade tool. The Z axis will now be set.įor more detailed instructions check the manufacturer’s website, they have a nice tutorial. Run the probing program and lower the cutting tool slowly until it contacts the probe. Place the probe on the workpiece and then connect the clip to the cutting tool. The thickness of the probe now needs to be entered into the CNC software. Now measure the height of the probe with a tool such as a digital caliper or micrometer. First connect the probe to your control board. Luckily, there is a simple and cheap upgrade which will allow you to make the process simpler and more accurate. No one likes setting Z axis heights with paper.
